Bergman Commits to NCAA Division I Nebraska-Omaha2009-08-08
 Bergman helped guide the Owatonna Express, of the North American Hockey League, into last spring's playoffs.
Former Nats netminder advanced to USAH Tier II and Tier I hockey on his way to NCAA Division I.
Former Washington Junior Nationals netminder Frederick Bergman has committed to continue his academic and hockey careers at the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
Bergman, who helped lead the Nats to the AJHL seminfinals during the 2006-07 season, advanced to the Des Moines Buccaneers of the USHL and the Owatonna Express of the North American Hockey League after his Junior Nationals tenure.
Head coach Pat Cullen, of the Owatonna organization, helped Bergman secure his NCAA Division I spot this past week. Bergman will enroll at UNO later this month.
Bergman is one of 14 players from the 2006-07 squad who advanced to USAH Tier I/Tier II junior hockey, NCAA Division I or III, Canadian Major Junior hockey or ACHA college hockey.
In June, Bergman's former 2006-07 teammate Nick Peterson was drafted by the Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins. For a complete list of WJNCDP Alumi click on the link below:
